Juneau, Alaska

(April 28, 2025)

Although the weather was unfavorable, as it was raining, we took a flight on a floatplane with Wings Airways to see 5 glaciers: the Taku Glacier, the Hole-in-the-Wall, the East and West Twin Glaciers, and the Norris Glacier. These glaciers are only a small part of the Juneau Icefield. Taking off from and landing on the water was a truly unique and exciting experience.

The trip provided us with a unique perspective of Alaska's breathtaking landscapes and a chance to visit remote areas that were inaccessible by other means. The glaciers were breathtakingly beautiful due to their immense size and the vivid blue and white hues. I now wish I had tried to take some photos. I was worried how they would turn out because of the rain, but I managed to capture some mental images that will last a lifetime.

Despite the rain, the adventure was worthwhile, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Juneau. Flying over the icy wilderness brought a sense of serenity and wonder, while witnessing Alaska's untouched natural landscapes from above was an unforgettable experience.
