Our most recent trip to the Smoky Mountains did not go as planned. Unfortunately, the leaves had not turned enough in the location where we had rented a cabin. We were there too early in the fall season and were not at a high enough elevation. We did not drive around the area to find a better location to view the fall colors, which was a mistake. I did not take very many photos, as there wasn't much to see. On one of the days of our trip at the higher altitudes, it did snow. But again, we did not drive around the area, which was a big mistake. The trip was relaxing; I learned a lot from this experience and will plan much better in the future.
