Tokyo, Japan
(April 16, 2025)

The tour this time was a bit more relaxed. It  consisted of a bus ride to Hakone, a town about 2 hours from Tokyo. We were scheduled to ride a cable car up to the top of Mt. Hakone, which would enable a perfect view of Mt. Fuji, but unfortunately that was canceled due to high winds. We however, we're able to view Mt. Fuji from a ferry ride along Lake Ashi. The ferry ride was very windy and quite chilly. We stayed inside the majority of the ride, only stepping outside briefly to get a better view and a few photos.

We also visited an open-air museum, again quite chilly, but nonetheless a beautiful area. The grounds were very beautifully landscaped with greenery and trees against the mountains. The sculptures were dotting the grounds. There was also a hot springs-foot bath were you could relax and enjoy the view. Then we visited a gift shop and purchased some delicious Japanese cookies. After shopping, we resumed the 2 hour bus ride back to Tokyo to re-board the cruise ship. My photos will follow soon.
